Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Hybrid – Dayton, OH
Salary Range: $45,000–$50,000

Role Objective
Oversee accounts payable processes for assigned entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant vendor payments. Support monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and process improvements while working in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations

• Process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage vendor payments, verify purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile statements and maintain accurate records.
• Execute payment runs and handle petty cash and sales tax reporting.
• Collaborate with inventory control and vendors to address issues.

Month-End Close & Compliance

• Record accounts payable transactions during month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Assist with audits and respond to accounts payable inquiries.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., AX, Concur).
• Strong communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to priorities effectively.
