Details:
- Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounting Technician is responsible for coordination and oversight of the accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing processes at assigned office location. This position will also maintain the general ledger, assist with the preparation of financial statements as required, assist with the monthly closing process, and perform special projects as needed.
Experience and Skills:
Education:
- Two year Business Administration or Accounting Degree
- High school diploma with experience working in an accounting position
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must remain up-to-date of current trends affecting accounts payable management for similar organizations
- Have through knowledge of modern office equipment, accounting software programs
- Have skilled in basic arithmetic computation
- Must be dependable and have a courteous, professional manner to established and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Must have excellent written and oral skills to interpret and apply written policies and procedures and government regulations
