Seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join a dynamic NYC team as an Accounting Support Specialist. This versatile role blends the responsibilities of a bookkeeper and accounting assistant, offering a varied and rewarding career.
Responsibilities:
Financial Data Management:
Record financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Google Suite, Payroll applications).
Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
Prepare bank deposits and process payments.
Assist with payroll processing and reporting.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Generate accounts payable and receivable reports.
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Analyze financial data and identify trends.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Administrative Tasks:
Enter financial data into accounting software.
File invoices and other financial documents.
Run errands and perform other administrative tasks.
Maintain a professional and organized workspace.
Detail oriented and able to catch any errors.
Qualifications:
An associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is acceptable.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
