Position Overview:
They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant or Accounting Manager to join the finance & accounting team. Reporting to the Head of Accounting you will play a crucial role in managing the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and contributing to the development of financial models and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Close: Manage NetSuite's month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconciliations: Create and review detailed GL account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing the annual budget and other financial forecasts.
- Operational Analysis: Analyze operational results, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop enhanced reporting to provide insights into business performance.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate existing accounting policies and procedures, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Special Projects: Assist with the annual financial statement audit, research and analysis projects, corporate board presentations, and other ad hoc requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting, preferably in a product/inventory-based company.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is highly desired.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
