We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This full-time, permanent position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a solid background in accounting and a keen interest in the engineering sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial and accounting activities, including payroll, Net 30 accounts, and other financial operations.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Supervisor, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinating and directing the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities of all parts of the organization.
3. Managing the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and other related operations.
4. Supervising the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
5. Conducting internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
6. Reviewing financial statements with management personnel.
7. Establishing system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
8. Coordinating with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; maintaining data integrity.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial planning tools.
4. Strong knowledge of Net 30 accounts, payroll, and other financial operations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
