As a Sr. Tax Accountant with Our Client you will be responsible for review and preparation of various entity and individual tax returns, supervision and training of staff, as well as creating and maintaining client relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan and direct corporate, individual, and partnership tax engagements.
· Review moderate level tax returns including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041, etc.
· Identify tax issues and provide tax planning advice to a diverse client base.
· Supervise, develop, and train members of our tax practice.
· Focus on the management of client relationships to ensure the delivery of exceptional client services.
· Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions; identify and document uncertain tax positions.
· Perform and review technical tax research, analysis, and written memorandum.
· Assist clients with the management of federal and state tax audits and negotiate tax positions.
· Work directly with the firm’s leadership to support the many operational elements of the firm’s tax services, including thought leadership, quality control, and training and development.
· Ensure exceptional client service by delivering the highest quality results, and providing forward-thinking advice and suggestions on relevant matters in a manner that is timely and straightforward.
· Responsible for leading a team of staff-level positions and ensuring proper execution of assignments.

Our Client is seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Supervisor with strong tax expertise to join our dynamic team. This role will oversee our accounting operations, manage tax compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
Tax Compliance and Planning:
Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation, review, and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls:
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to streamline accounting processes.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to ensure professional growth and development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the accounting team.
Audit Coordination:
Support external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors to address inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
X+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on tax compliance and reporting.
Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
CPA certification or progress towards certification.
Familiarity with tax planning strategies and ERP systems.
