Position Overview:
A Staff Accountant (Accounting Specialist) is responsible for managing financial records by tracking and recording transactions, updating the general ledger, preparing financial statements,
reconciling bank statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and preparing reports for tax preparation, all while maintaining
accuracy and attention to detail.

Position Overview:
A Staff Accountant (Accounting Specialist) is responsible for managing financial records by tracking and recording transactions, updating the general ledger, preparing financial statements,
reconciling bank statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and preparing reports for tax preparation, all while maintaining
accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Entering accounting data into the system, maintaining the general ledger, and updating financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank statements with internal records to identify discrepancies and address issues promptly.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Processing invoices, managing accounts payable, client invoicing and ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate employee wages and deductions. Process weekly payroll using an outside vendor. Record transaction into accounting system.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including income statements and balance sheets ensuring the company's financial records are up-to-date and reliable for decision-making.
- Tax Preparation: Processing monthly sales tax filing and payments. Providing documentation and supporting information to external Accountant for the preparation of tax returns.
- Compliance: Adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Contributing to the budgeting process by analyzing financial data and providing insights for future planning.
- Data Analysis: Identifying trends and anomalies in financial data to inform decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Appfolio, etc )
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical skills to interpret financial data
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills to collaborate with different departments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
