Job Details
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting transactions. Your primary responsibilities will include handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing processes, and account reconciliations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Manage aspects of the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense classification.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee the accounts receivable process from invoice creation to cash application, ensuring timely collections and maintaining accurate records.
- Billing: Generate accurate and timely billing statements, address customer billing inquiries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and provide support during annual audits.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve internal accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- AA degree in Accounting preferred but not required
- Strong Excel
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on AP, AR, and general ledger management.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
