Accounting Specialist - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Ledgent is recruiting a temporary Accounting Specialist to join one of our clients in the Downtown Portland area. This on-site role will last 3-4 months and will be joining a friendly and upbeat team. Interested candidates should apply directly or email resumes for consideration.
Responsibilities:
·Process and review all incoming invoices from vendors and service providers.
·Ensure accurate coding and proper approval for each invoice before processing.
·Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
·Prepare and issue payment runs (checks, ACH, or wire transfers) in a timely manner.
·Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding billing inquiries and payment statuses.
·Process payroll for all company employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
·Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
·Handle payroll inquiries and assist employees with questions regarding their pay, deductions, and benefits.
Qualifications:
·2+ years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, or a similar accounting role.
·Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
