Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team in California. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconciliation of bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to support various financial projects.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Providing support for audits and other financial assessments.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Additional Details:
Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
