Design for Leisure (DFL) is a team of hydrothermal spa specialists working in partnership with owners, operators, architects, and designers to bring European-inspired hydrotherapy concepts to life. Our expertise in building best-in-class wet areas includes everything from intimate, luxury residential thermal suites to expansive hydrothermal circuits for 5-star hospitality and luxury commercial projects.

What We're Looking For:

DFL is looking for an Accounting Specialist willing to work in a fast-paced, multinational company. This position will require experience managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, overseeing cost management reconciliation for company and project expenses, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to join a growing company in the unique wellness construction space, has exemplary organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with experience in construction or related industries.

What Your Day Looks Like:

• Manage and process all Payroll, Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile company expenses, ensuring cost accuracy and timely reporting.
• Work with project manager to review project costs to help implement cost-saving measures, and track budget adherence.
• Collaborate with project managers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth cash flow.
• Monitor and analyze financial data related to project expenses, identifying trends and providing insights.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including coordination of audits.
• Assist with month-end close processes and ensure timely reconciliations.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with AR and AP management, expense reconciliation, and cost reporting.
• Experience in the construction or project-based industries.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with job costing, project expense tracking, and vendor management.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with tax accounting, compliance, preparation, coordination, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with project-based accounting and financial management in the construction industry.
