Job Details
Key duties include payroll processing, managing accounts payable and receivable, creating financial transactions, performing reconciliations, and generating statements.
Primary Responsibilities
Record transactions in journals and classify postings
Process bills and payments
Prepare formatted financial statements
Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
Reconcile subsidiary accounts to controls
Record property and equipment changes, calculating depreciation and amortization
Prepare payroll tax payments and forms
Prepare and pay sales tax
Post adjustments to the working trial balance
Prepare 1099s and W-2s
Provide QuickBooks consulting
Serve as a backup to the administrative assistant
Input income tax returns and resolve e-file rejections
Manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines and time budgets
Handle client management and basic decision-making independently
Ensure accuracy and organization in all tasks
Take on additional responsibilities proactively
Safeguard confidential information, handling it appropriately and discussing it only with authorized individuals
Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting
Previous experience in public or private accounting preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Commitment to high-quality and timely work completion
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and research tools
