Mission Edge is a fast-paced non-profit located in Liberty Station in San Diego. Since 2012, Mission Edge has helped nonprofits, small businesses, and corporate partners succeed through fiscal sponsorship, accounting and human resources services, and Impact Lab programs.
The Role:
Mission Edge, an expanding organization with over ten years of proven success, is looking for an Accounting & Operations Specialist to offer personalized support for our Fiscal Sponsorship department. This role emphasizes enhancing relationships, addressing inquiries, streamlining processes, and creating scalable support for nonprofit projects across the country.
Your organizational and client support expertise as an Accounting & Operations Specialist will support our 40+ fiscally sponsored projects, ensure smooth office operations, and play a vital role in our future growth by empowering our practice to scale so that our clients can better achieve their mission efficiently and smoothly.
As an employee of Mission Edge, you will have the flexibility of working in a hybrid environment.
What You Will Do:

Respond to and support requests from fiscally sponsored projects for HR, Accounting, and Operation needs.

Maintain clear and accessible client communications, requests, and data points records.

Support full-cycle client management, including inquiry, application, onboarding, service delivery, check-ins, and offboarding.

Assist with research, data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Work with bookkeeping software and partnered with the accounting team to compile, maintain, and analyze financial data.

Manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost honesty and integrity.

Leverage technology to automate processes, track data, and create reports, SOPs, and knowledge bases.

Prioritize and balance multiple requests and tasks simultaneously while optimizing workflows.

Manage office inventory and supplies while maintaining a regular cadence of organization.

Assist with setup, preparation, and supply ordering for internal or client events and activities.

Participate in additional projects and duties as necessary to support Mission Edge's mission.

What You Wil Brings:

1+ years experience in client success, customer support, or similar roles.

An aptitude to quickly learn business systems like Microsoft Office, Basecamp, Teamwork Help Desk, various fundraising platforms, PEX, DocuSign, Monday.com, and NetSuite.

A growth mindset with the ability to jump in and learn quickly.

Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.

What You'll Get:
As a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) employee, you would be eligible for:

Competitive compensation: the hourly range for this role is $22-25/hour with the potential for a discretionary bonus, subject to individual and company performance.
