Location and Contract Details:
- Location: Onsite role located in a West Palm Beach metropolitan area with modern office amenities. Position is Fully Onsite. Local candidates encouraged to apply.
- Contract: Initial 1-year contract with potential extensions up to 3 years based on performance. Must work as w2 employee for Vaco.
Vaco is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established organization for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join their team as an Accounting Operations Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a high-performing finance team at a company known for its excellence in operational and financial practices. Specific client details will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
About the Role:
As an Accounting Operations Specialist, you will focus on managing key financial processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing specific aspects of accounts reconciliation, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, and contributing to the optimization of financial systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and manage aging reports to address outstanding financial items.
- Collaborate with procurement, receiving, and accounts payable teams to enhance communication and efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve root causes of accounting discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure vendors are paid promptly by addressing issues related to inventory discrepancies and system errors.
- Provide guidance on vendor payment processes and manage exceptions effectively.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of financial transactions to identify and resolve anomalies.
- Support system implementation projects, including testing and process documentation.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounts reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving discrepancies within financial systems.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and internal control principles is preferred.
Pay Rate:
$30–$43 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
