We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Operations Manager to join our team. This is a permanent role that will play a significant part in our organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for month-end close, insurance, external audits, public accounting, balance sheet management, account reconciliation, and using Netsuite. This role requires a highly organized individual with a robust understanding of accounting principles, superb analytical skills, and a passion for delivering results.

Job Details
As an Accounting Operations Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Supervise and manage the overall accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and capital assets reconciliations.
2. Oversee the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the process.
3. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
5. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
6. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
7. Manage the company's insurance programs.
8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or similar qualification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, with a focus on operations.
3. Insurance Industry is a MUST.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end/year-end close process, insurance, external audits, public accounting, balance sheet management, and account reconciliation.
5. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, especially Netsuite.
7. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
9. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
10. Ability to direct and supervise.
