SUMMARY
The Accounting Operations Manager oversees the company's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Reporting to the Controller, this role supports financial strategy, risk management, and decision-making, while leading a team of five.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Approve vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer invoices; monitor billing and collections.
- Oversee insurance revenue booking and monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
- Review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and implement internal controls for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation.
- Collaborate on process enhancements and system upgrades.
- Train and support accounting staff on new procedures.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 10 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in leadership.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with Oracle’s Netsuite is a plus.
Salary
100,000 - 120,000 /year
