This is a position where you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, working to ensure our financial data is accurate, timely, and consistent with our high standards. Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Operations Manager, you will:
1. Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, cash applications, and treasury functions.
3. Conduct detailed financial analysis and prepare financial statements.
4. Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
5. Utilize Excel and Great Plains to manage and analyze financial data.
6. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
8. Provide strategic financial guidance based on financial analysis and projections.
9. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, financial auditing, or corporate finance.
2. Proven experience in managing accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, cash applications, and treasury.
3. Strong knowledge of financial analysis and financial statements preparation.
4. Proficiency in using Excel and Great Plains for financial management and analysis.
5. Experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on financial analysis.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
