Job Description
To supervise, monitor and review all site accounting activities including account reconciliation, accounts receivable, credit management and the monitoring of operations systems and procedures and control features. Maximize hotel's cash flow earnings through aggressive credit and collection policies. ($60,000 - $70,000 annual, based on experience)
Responsibilities
• Understand and ensure compliance with all Omni Finance SOPs.• Oversea all accounts receivable and property specific income audit functions.• Responsible for complete training of staff for job duties of the following positions: Accounts Receivable Clerk / Accounting Generalist, and Income Audit. • Support Accounts Payable, General Cashiering, Paymaster as needed.• Prepare and run monthly credit meeting.• Coordinate all on-site accounting functions with the Assistant Directors of Finance and Director of Finance. Act as liaison for accounting requests.• Assist in attaining financial goals.• Ensure maintenance of all daily filing of documents needed for research requests.• Ensure all guest disputes and requests for clarification is resolved and/or responded to in a timely manner.• Work closely with all departments to come up with solutions to Systems & Controls problems.• Ensure a timely month-end close.• Produce accurate financial statements.• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as assigned.• Assist in preparing documents for filing monthly sales taxes.• Generate Daily Labor and Revenue Reports as needed.• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries as assigned.• Assist departments with general ledger research and re-class entries.• Assist with Audit requests.• Display and effectively communicate Omni Culture.• Any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, or participation in the Omni LID program. Previous leadership experience preferred.• College degree preferred.• Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to direct, develop and motivate staff • Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations• Must be service and detail oriented, possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department• Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.• Able to work with management on special projects• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.• Computer proficiency; with developed excel skills.• The ability to sit and use a computer/phone for long periods of time • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
