We are actively seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This is a position that will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and contributing to our bottom line. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, preparing monthly financial statements, and supervising a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Overseeing and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income and cash flow reports.
- Heavy processing and reconciling of balance sheet accounts.
- Provide a strong understanding and analysis of the Profit and Loss statement.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures, and promote a culture of fiscal responsibility and continual improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the medical industry.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in preparing balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss statements.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
