Are you passionate about accounting and finance and looking for a challenging and rewarding managerial role? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly motivated team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in GL accounting, year-end and month-end close, and extensive experience in using and administering NetSuite.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Managing and overseeing the entire process of GL accounting, year-end and month-end close.
3. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Administering and maintaining the NetSuite system, including user setup, configuration, customization, and support.
5. Developing and implementing accounting policies, coordinating systems and procedures, and preparing operating data and special reports as required.
6. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
7. Coordinating with external auditors, providing needed information for the annual audit, and ensuring that audit recommendations are implemented.
8. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of GL accounting, year-end and month-end close.
3. Proven expertise in NetSuite and NetSuite Administration.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and build high-performing teams.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial managers.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
