We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Accounting Manager to join our start-up construction company. You will play a crucial role in our financial department, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial operations and reports. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your financial expertise within the construction industry, working with a team that values collaboration, innovation, and growth.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all financial operations of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, and auditing.
2. Designing and implementing robust financial strategies to drive the company's financial performance and growth.
3. Managing and coordinating the preparation of budget forecasts and financial reports.
4. Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws in all financial functions.
5. Collaborating with external auditors to carry out corporate audits.
6. Evaluating and managing risk, implementing effective internal controls.
7. Overseeing and managing the company’s benefits programs.
8. Coordinating with different departments to streamline financial procedures and processes.
9. Providing financial insights and recommendations to the company's management team.
10. Keeping up-to-date with the latest financial regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Accounting Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, and benefits management.
4. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
5. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
6. Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
