Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed within the set deadlines.
- Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal audits.
- Preparing financial statements and reports, and presenting them to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, implementing changes as necessary.
- Familiarity or past experience with cost/inventory accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role within the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Extensive experience with month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
