Accounting Manager with Merger and Acquisition Experience
Job Description: Under the direction of the CEO, the individual will serve as the accounting manager for the company. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with business policies and procedures, state and federal fiscal laws, generally accepted accounting standards, and assigned Human Resources procedures. Daily operations oversight includes general accounting, data control, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital spending, project budgeting, job costing, budget reporting, variance analysis, working capital investments, and cash reconciliation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks such as month-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, job costing, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
- Develop and implement accounts receivable procedures and collections management.
- Develop and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable programs for accurate cash flow.
- Oversee budgeting, job costing determination, contract administration, cost accounting, and major system development projects affecting financial reporting.
- Prepare required financial statements, reports for internal and external use, tax reporting, and collaborate with external accounting advisors.
- Develop annual budgets for the organization and business units, and conduct periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Maintain and audit floor plan inventory, manage customer booth contracts within internal IT systems, coordinate invoicing, collections, and customer communications.
- Administer, negotiate, and execute contracts with contractors, venues, and hotel blocks, and manage staff travel for events.
- Provide financial planning and analysis support to other managers.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree and equivalent experience
- Experience with Merger & Acquisitions preferred
- Sage 50 experience highly preferred
