Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Lead the recording and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
Coordinate revenue recognition processes, including reconciling revenue from various sources and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements and reports to provide insights to management and support decision-making.
Oversee the accounts payable (AP) cycle, including reviewing and approving invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.
Manage the accounts receivable (AR) process, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
Conduct regular reviews of general ledger accounts and assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate annual audits and tax filings.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance and accounting function.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a US accredited college or university.
4+ years of recent experience in full cycle corporate GL accounting with less than 7 days month-end close, preferably in a medium size company with $50-100MM revenue.
Advanced level in MS Excel skill is MUST - fluent in pivot, all LOOKUP functions, subtotals, and filtering.
Understand and be able to maintain the Chart of Accounts and financial statement relationship.
Recent experience in managing Payable and Receivable personnel and processes.
