We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring our company's financial operations run smoothly. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to excellence, a passion for numbers, and a drive to contribute to our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all general ledger accounting activities.
2. Supervising, directing, and reviewing the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll transactions).
3. Producing accurate and timely financial statements and providing commentary on financial results.
4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
5. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing budget variances, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
7. Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
8. Coordinating with external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certification (such as CPA, CMA, CGA or CA) is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership role.
3. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
4. Extensive knowledge of financial reporting principles and practices.
5. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
7. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced skills in MS Excel.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
9. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
