About the Job
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our organization's financial operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing the accounting team, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. Your expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting will be critical in driving the organization's financial success and supporting informed decision-making. Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the organization's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
Conduct regular financial analysis, identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to senior management for decision-making and strategic planning.
Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets, monitor budgetary performance, and provide guidance on financial targets and cost management.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
Oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and banking relationships.
Implement and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to enhance their skills and professional growth.
Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimize financial processes and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other special projects, providing financial insights and support as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly preferred.
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in progressively responsible accounting and finance roles, including previous experience as an Accounting Manager.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting requirements.
Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and proficiency in applying accounting principles to complex financial transactions and scenarios.
Experience with financial systems and software, with a demonstrated ability to optimize and streamline financial processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
