Role Overview:
2024 promises to be a thrilling year as we continue to scale operations. We are in search of an experienced Accounting Manager who is enthusiastic about tackling complex challenges. In this role, you will collaborate with an elite finance team, possessing extensive experience across investment banking, hedge fund management, and more. You will report directly to the Vice President of Finance, gaining comprehensive exposure to our financial operations across multiple products and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead crucial aspects of our monthly financial close process, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Oversee daily accounting activities and identify any irregularities.
Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Participate in the preparation of detailed financial reports for executive leadership and board members.
Manage significant parts of our annual audit and tax filings.
Engage in the ongoing development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
Lead initiatives to enhance financial controls, systems, and processes in preparation for future public offering.
Ideal Candidate:
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Brings at least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably a blend of public accounting and private industry exposure.
Demonstrates a solid understanding of IPO preparations.
Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and robust organizational skills.
Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Proficient in technical accounting areas, with familiarity in ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 350-40 considered a plus.
Experience with NetSuite and prior team management are preferred.
