2024 holds exciting prospects for our growing team at our company! We're on the lookout for an accomplished Accounting Manager who thrives on tackling intriguing challenges. As part of our dynamic crew, you'll collaborate closely with a seasoned and cohesive team boasting extensive financial expertise across various domains including investment banking, hedge fund management, M&A, FP&A, Controllership, and Big 4 Audit.
Under the direct supervision of our VP of Finance, you'll dive into a spectrum of financial activities and operational intricacies, spanning multiple product lines across domestic and international entities. Your responsibilities will encompass steering significant portions of our month-end close procedures, contributing to executive and board-level financial reporting, and playing a pivotal role in our annual audit and tax preparation processes. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in shaping our accounting policies and procedures as we gear up for rapid expansion and our journey towards an IPO.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Oversee substantial aspects of our month-end close operations, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, intercompany transactions, and departmental allocations.
- Vigilantly monitor day-to-day accounting operations, swiftly identifying and addressing irregularities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring their work aligns with our standards of excellence.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly executive and board-level financial reports.
- Handle or review select treasury functions such as contractor payments, tax settlements, and intercompany transactions.
- Spearhead significant segments of our annual financial audit and tax filing reviews.
- Draft Technical Accounting memorandums for noteworthy transactions.
- Stay abreast of new accounting pronouncements, evaluating their relevance to the company's operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to refine best-in-class processes within accounting and financial operations.
- Take the lead in enhancing controls, systems, and processes across all accounting operations, preparing us for IPO readiness.
Ideal Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 7+ years of pertinent accounting experience, with a preference for a blend of public practice and industry exposure.
- Strong familiarity with IPO readiness procedures is highly valued.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350-40, is advantageous.
- Prior experience in team management is desirable.
- Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus.
