About the Job
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing and maintaining the books and records of investment funds
- Review monthly management accounts of US subsidiaries, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reports
- Perform financial analysis to support the company's financial strategy and decision-making processes
- Review companies’ budgets, monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate and explain variances
- Maintain and monitor companies’ KPIs, provide insights into trends, and business opportunities or risks
- Manage and prepare financial reports for shareholders and external stakeholders
- Review, maintain, and improve the internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other major financial transactions, including due diligence and integration
- Accounting for complex corporate actions;
- Calculating of income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents;
- Coordinating with funds' independent auditors and fund administrators
What you’ll need:
- CPA required
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience;
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP and IFRS)
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
