Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations for the organization, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting with financial forecasting and analysis. This position will collaborate closely with senior leadership, the finance team, and external auditors to ensure financial integrity and alignment with overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Support the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with private equity reporting standards.
Accounting Operations:
Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all entries are properly recorded.
Financial Analysis & Budgeting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to help drive business decisions.
Provide detailed financial analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, tax laws, and private equity reporting requirements.
Coordinate and assist with external audits and tax filings, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Supervise and mentor a small team of accountants, providing guidance on accounting processes and professional development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, legal, and senior leadership, to address financial matters and provide insights into operational performance.
Private Equity and Healthcare Focus:
Work closely with the private equity investors and senior management to align financial reporting with investment objectives.
Understand the unique challenges and nuances of the healthcare industry, including reimbursement models, regulatory changes, and cost controls.
