Accounting Manager - Now CFO

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with expertise in the Non-Profit & Manufacturing industries to join our Consulting team. In this role, you will lead financial reporting and analysis for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to guide teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $80k-100K, depending on experience.
Work Schedule: Hybrid
Territory: Most of our clients are in the Portland Metro area, but we also serve clients from Vancouver, Washington, to Salem, Oregon. For you to be considered, you must be willing to commute to these locations as needed in a hybrid work capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports in compliance with standards.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and policies.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Identify and drive process improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and trends.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant, preferably within Non-Profit and Manufacturing organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, analytical abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in financial analysis and process improvement.
• Tax preparation experience is a plus.
