POSITION: Accounting Manager

STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Controller

DATE: March 2024

DIRECT REPORTS: 5

LOCATION: Winslow, ME or Portland, ME

POSITION SUMMARY:

This Position works closely with the Corporate Controller and CFO to assist in all areas of the accounting and finance department.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a team of 5
• Performs account reconciliations.
• Facilitates monthly closings.
• Review the accuracy of AP GL coding.
• Records and reconciles financial institution payments and resolves any issues.
• Oversees filing and payment of sales tax filings and other compliance items with States.
• Involved with cash management.
• Non-warranty credit management
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly KPI metrics reporting.
• Work directly with other departments to streamline processes and information flow.
• Cross-trained to provide backup to other positions within the accounting function.
• Respond to information requests and assist with audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and accounting software packages
• Good communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: This job operates in an office environment and is mainly sedentary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
