G.A. Rogers & Associates seeks a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to join a dynamic team as a Corporate Accounting Manager in Plano, Texas.
This key role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, overseeing the monthly and quarterly general ledger closes, managing US payroll, and collaborating with other finance functions.
You will be responsible for leading a team of 3 staff members and driving continuous improvement through process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the general ledger close and US financial statement preparation, working closely with the US accounting team.
- Maintain the General Ledger in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform financial analysis and prepare summary information for the consolidation process.
- Collaborate with relevant personnel to gather and understand complex transactions.
- Accounting Management:
- Manage month-end/quarter-end close activities, including journal entries.
- Maintain the Oracle system for general ledger accounts and legal entities.
- Review account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure consistency in account treatment and transaction classifications.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Liaise with external auditors on financial statement audits and SOX compliance testing.
- Maintain and document SOX-compliant processes and procedures.
- Ensure consistent execution of internal controls.
- Payroll:
- Oversee the US payroll process, collaborating with the payroll specialist.
- Additional Duties:
- Participate in special projects and handle additional tasks as assigned.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and provide guidance to a team of 3 accounting staff members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 7 years of general accounting experience required.
- Experience in the telecom industry a plus.
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
- Mix of public accounting and private company experience a plus.
- Proven experience with a major ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Demonstrated success with process improvement projects and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.
- Diligent, highly efficient, and accurate with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management and self-starter abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment and within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Desire to work in a dynamic, nimble, and entrepreneurial environment with a commitment to best practices and SEC compliance.
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a constantly evolving landscape.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 Per Year
