We are in search of a dynamic and highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our thriving team. This is a permanent position that presents the opportunity to engage with various facets of the business and contribute directly to our financial success. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for identifying financial trends and opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, from maintaining the general ledger to preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will be entrusted with the following duties:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
2. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Providing recommendations to improve systems and financial performance.
6. Developing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
7. Reviewing financial data and preparing monthly and annual reports.
8. Staying informed about the latest industry trends and changes in regulatory environment.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of five years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or a similar role.
3. Solid understanding and proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
4. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP.
5. Proficiency in making journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
6. Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
7. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
8. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and flexibility.
