Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Director, FP&A. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, where you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial analysis within the property and casualty insurance domain.
This position can be remote, however the individual will need to be located in EST or CST to be considered.

As the Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of property and casualty insurance accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory and GAAP principles.
3. Leading the preparation and submission of STAT reporting and other regulatory filings.
4. Managing the monthly close process, ensuring all financial data is captured and reported accurately.
5. Collaborating with the finance team to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
6. Utilizing Clearwater and other financial software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those specific to the technology industry.
8. Providing leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years' experience in accounting working in insurance or reinsurance.
2. Property and casualty insurance accounting experience is strongly preferred.
3. Experience with STAT reporting, monthly reporting, and preparing financials.
4. Prior experience in public accounting is a plus.
5. Proficiency in Clearwater or similar financial software.
6. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is required.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations.
8. Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
9. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
