DND Group was recently named one of the Top 200 Restaurant Groups by Nation's Restaurant. As a team we are eager to bring aboard a motivated accounting manager to join our Accounting Department.
The accounting manager will report directly to the controller and is responsible for overseeing the following areas and teams: accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets. The accounting manager will have the opportunity to help develop and maintain scalable accounting procedures, practices, and principles. They will also be depended upon to review the ledger system, and in particular entry reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets. Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing all general accounting functions. This includes performing month-end process, preparing and booking journal entries, as well as associated account reconciliations.
- Maintain and improve upon current accounting infrastructure to ensure it seamlessly scales with the growth of the business.
- Implement, document and maintain accounting policies, procedures and effective systems of internal controls.
- Analyze company operations to identify operational and cost inefficiencies, and implement solutions.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting including trend analysis.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Supervise accounting/finance staff, including hiring, training and maintaining adequate staffing levels, providing continuous coverage for all accounting functions.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
- Solid, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP and State/Federal tax laws.
- 5-7 years of experience in finance/accounting environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of a large ERP system, NetSuite a plus.
- Supervisory or management experience of a small team.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset.
Benefits and Compensation
- Salary: $100,000. to $125,000. per year (based upon experience)
