Who are you? You are a self-starter and embrace an entrepreneur's attitude and resilience. You have an in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and hold the ability to execute at strategic and hands-on levels while effectively planning, implementing, and executing tasks.
An ideal candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with five plus years of experience in Financial Management
- Multifamily industry experience required with extensive experience use Yardi property management software
- Previous Supervisory Experience
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meet monthly and annual financial reporting requirements for operating portfolio and ownership entities
- Develop and implement efficient and effective accounting policies and procedures
- Cash flow management of operating portfolio
- Lead annual audit and tax functions with CPA firms
- Lead annual 1099, CRP, and year-end related accounting functions
- Supervise accounting staff
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained or developed
- Oversee, coordinate and/or process all necessary daily accounting activities, inclusive of AR and AP's
- Maintain positive working relationship with the Operations team and work closely with VP of Property Management to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Be the Yardi expert of Greco; troubleshoot and find resolution to systematic issues
