Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
- Be responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including the preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for leadership.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
- Evaluate and manage risk, ensuring the implementation of internal controls
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or related field; preferably in the non-profit environment.
- Strong understanding of grant accounting
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
