Our client is a reputable maritime company with a strong commitment to excellence and efficiency in its operations. They are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$95k – $110k Annually, plus discretionary bonus
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to lead a dynamic Accounting team. This hands-on role requires a leader who is ready to roll up their sleeves and manage day-to-day financial operations while overseeing two Senior Accountants. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
- The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the Accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- The Accounting Manager will handle general ledger reconciliations, month-end, and year-end close processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Senior Accountants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- The Accounting Manager will partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
- 10+ years of accounting experience.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Ability to manage and perform hands-on accounting tasks while leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
