Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager reports to the Vice President of Finance and oversees the company's fiscal operations in alignment with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry-standard financial management practices. This role requires a high degree of execution, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
As a key and highly visible member of the organization, the ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. With the potential to supervise accounting staff in the future, strong leadership and management capabilities are a plus.
This position is based in our Memphis office and requires on-site work five days a week. Occasional travel to our Nashville and Chattanooga offices (12 times per year) and participation in LEO's annual conference are expected. Limited work outside regular business hours may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Vice President of Finance to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the company's fiscal operations and financial performance.
· Provide timely, accurate analysis of operating budgets and financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
· Manage the financials and ensure the compliance of multiple company entities.
· Oversee debt compliance activities.
· Coordinate with the Vice President of Finance and 3rd party accounting advisory firm on the preparation of the annual GAAP financial statement compilation report.
· Ensure timely filing of business license renewals, personal property and real estate tax returns, and sales tax filings.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party accounting firms during the preparation of annual tax returns and related filings.
· Manage customer billings and accounts receivable, including ad hoc reporting.
· Supervise vendor payments, accounts payable, petty cash, employee expense reporting, and cash controls.
· Administer accounting and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, ensuring optimal functionality and data accuracy.
· Collaborate with the HR Department to review and verify semi-monthly payrolls.
· Provide backup support for other accounting responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
· 5-10 years of hands-on accounting management experience.
· Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting.
· Proficiency in accounting/CRM software, with a preference for experience in Sage and HubSpot.

· Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including experience with Mac systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Dropbox.
Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:
The employee will be required to spend a portion of time seated and looking at a computer screen. The employee will also be required to do some standing and walking. The employee will be in a well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
