In this role, you will be responsible for a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end close, tax preparation, and support for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities. Essential Responsibilities
As an Accounting Manager you will:
- Oversee daily accounting operations.
- Driving month-end close processes including journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial statement compilation
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of professional accounting staff with varied experience levels.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.
- Present financial information to executive management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate and facilitate external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: To be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Must have a strong knowledge of multi-ledger & multi-divisional accounting including intercompany accounting across a multitude of legal entities including multi-currency, and international transactions.
- Experience supervising accounting staff.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience in financial reporting, journal entries, and fixed assets management
- A minimum of five (5) years in a service-oriented business.
