Job Description: Accounting Manager
Location: Peekskill, NY (fully in-office)
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000

Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and provide leadership to one other individual in the department. This role combines strategic financial oversight with direct management responsibilities while ensuring accurate accounting processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
• Direct budget preparation and financial forecasting activities
• Manage internal and external audit processes
• Prepare management reports and provide insights on financial performance
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including team leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and mentor others
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Technical Qualifications:

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite would be ideal)
• Experience in construction industry is a huge plus!
