Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Manage monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Implement and monitor the company’s financial systems, using ERP - Microsoft Plains.
- Collaborate with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven leadership skills with an ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
