Job Details
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and orchestrate the GL department's operations.
- Guarantee precise and punctual closure of the general ledger each month, complete with accompanying schedules, aligning with GAAP and organizational directives.
- Evaluate and authorize monthly journal entries systematically.
- Handle corporate weekly payroll entries and accruals, disseminate the weekly payroll report, and manage the issuance of weekly payroll checks.
- Conduct and assess reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Execute monthly P&L variance analyses, furnish elucidations for notable fluctuations, and communicate any significant adjustments to senior management.
- Supervise the management of Fixed Asset accounting and reporting conducted through MS Dynamics GP.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease standards by overseeing the maintenance of Lease Queries, which entails reviewing monthly JEs and conducting quarterly reconciliations.
- Regularly update schedules for term loans and lines of credit.
- Contribute to annual financial, tax, pension, and other regulatory audits as necessary.
- Stay updated on alterations in accounting and tax regulations, ensuring alignment with emerging standards.
- Ensure prompt submission of federal, state, and local tax returns, including renewals for business licenses and business property statements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA/MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
