TalentSource360 is assisting a healthcare provider in the search for a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee operational accounting functions for their group of healthcare practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare accounting and financial management, with proven experience in managing accounting operations, budgeting, and financial reporting within a multi-practice environment. This position will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple healthcare practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to monitor practice performance and financial health.
- Coordinate with practice managers and department heads to develop annual operating budgets and financial forecasts and monitor budget variances and performance metrics.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard assets, minimize risk, and ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and internal policies.
- Manage revenue cycle processes, including billing, collections, and reimbursement analysis, to optimize revenue and cash flow for the practices.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by senior management, including evaluating new business opportunities, cost reduction initiatives, and practice expansion plans.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare reimbursement policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to promote professional development and excellence in financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare accounting principles, revenue cycle management, and regulatory compliance requirements, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, preferably experience with healthcare-specific software such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and data management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
