Accounting Manager - Hybrid - IDEAL INDUSTRIES

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll reporting.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their work.
• Cost analytics and inventory oversight
• Reconcile inventory through cycle count analysis including identifying, researching, and resolving variances.
• Coordinate with and lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
• Collaborate with assistant controller to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, audit activities.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure that accounting practices remain in compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience 5+ years working in accounting or finance roles, with experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
• High level of integrity and ethics, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
