SHOPCO USA is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, customer centric, and team-oriented Accounting Manager at our headquarters office in Houston, TX. Previous experience in Consumer Package Goods Sales or Manufacturing/Construction Sales to the Convenience Store Industry is a plus! Experience managing, training, and coaching an accounting team a must!

We are searching for a motivated Accounting Manager who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This position will direct the day-to-day activities of the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

To be a successful with SHOPCO USA, you should have a good understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel. Experience with FACTS; Sage Intacct, or Peoplesoft preferred. You should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized.

Responsibilities:

Providing support to the Controller as needed with AR.
Processing transactions, updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Manage 3-4 employees (AP and AR)

Accountant Requirements:

Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Experience with Reconciliations is a plus.
Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
Ability to work independently.
