ACCOUNTING MANAGER - 100% IN OFFICE POSITION IN GALLERIA AREA OF HOUSTON - LOCAL HOUSTON AREA CANDIDATES ONLY!
Our client is a Houston/Galleria area legal services firm, is looking for an Accounting Manager on a direct hire basis. This position is responsible for the operations of the firm including accounting, administration, and HR. The majority of the role will be overseeing the accounting functions and the support staff of 15 employees.
Accounting/Finance duties (2/3 of the job): Overseeing firm financials by developing annual office budget, generating monthly firm financial reports and financial analyses, reconciling bank accounts, supervising accounting staff to ensure successful operation of accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing payroll, and working with firm accountants to coordinate filing of firm's tax returns.
HR/Administrative functions (1/3 of job): Human Resources - ensuring firm policies and procedures are met in accordance with Federal and State employment laws including maintaining employee handbook, maintaining personnel files, tracking employee billable hours and personal time off, onboarding new employees, participating in non-attorney staff performance reviews, and administering benefits including annual open enrollment and 401(k) administration. Also, handling facilities management and IT network support, as well as coordinating office/administrative functions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller, overseing an accounting department and managing a staff
- 10+ years of overall accounting experience
- Strong leadership and management skills

Salary $125-150K
