Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and check runs.
2. Develop and implement effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
3. Lead the inventory and manufacturing cost accounting processes, including the calculation of product costs, analysis of manufacturing variances, and the valuation of inventory.
4. Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
5. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
6. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Support month-end and year-end close process.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
3. Proven experience in inventory and manufacturing cost accounting.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, coordinate multiple projects, and effectively manage time.
10. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
