We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare accounting principles, compliance regulations, and financial reporting. This role will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial statements, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant healthcare regulations.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing training and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances and identifying areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and healthcare industry standards.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including finance, operations, and clinical teams, to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with healthcare-specific financial systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
